Get to Know the Designer

This life-long dream really did begin when I was a young girl. My mother still reminds me of the time I cut up her favorite dress in an attempt to make one for myself. Interestingly, my adult career did not begin as a designer or small business owner. Instead my journey led me first to become an elementary school teacher. There I worked to inspire and empower children from K-8. During this time I gained an appreciation of how special all children are and that has become an integral component of Bambalina Clothing. It has also emboldened me to always be an example for young children and to always follow your dreams.

In 2019 my husband Giancarmen and I celebrated the birth of our little angel Maria. It was at that moment, while adjusting to my new role as a mommy, that I began to rekindle my childhood dream. As I searched for safe, healthy, quality products for Maria, I came to the conclusion that there was something missing. I didn't want to just put anything on Maria because it was “cute.” Instead, I wanted a standard of quality, especially in regard to fabrics, that also focused on the finer details and true craftsmanship of our products. *We only use 100% high quality cotton fabrics* 

From there I embarked on my mission to assemble an unmatched team of world-class tailors, seamstresses, embroiderist, artists and other highly skilled craftsmen. This team of experts was chosen because of their commitment to quality and the love for what they do. We also recognized that their values aligned with our commitment to excellence. Naturally, as we prioritized quality and uniqueness, the larger manufacturers were filtered out, and we are now partnered with small shop owners throughout Europe. Your support of Bambalina Clothing not only helps support my family but also helps support the families and communities of our shop owners. 

We are very new to this, and our first product launch of the “Mistletoe Dress” during Christmas 2020 was met with unexpected hurdles due to the pandemic. Nevertheless, Bambalina Clothing is rapidly growing. In fact, we recently produced a private label dress for a local brick-and-mortar boutique and are currently in discussion with additional boutiques to grow our brand. This past summer we launched our customizable “Bambalina Dolls,” and they have been a tremendous addition to our product line. Most recently we have partnered with skilled leathersmiths and are in the design phase of creating our line of genuine full-grain leather shoes and sandals.
